Spiritual Spring Cleaning

 In light of the change in season, Greenheart Transforms wants to jump start our spring workshops by offering a Spiritual Spring Cleaning. This workshop is designed to bring a holistic experience by offering one session per week for four weeks focusing on different aspects of transformation: mind, body, spirit and purpose. 

What: Spiritual Spring Cleaning

When: Thursdays, April 26 – May 17 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Where: Greenheart Center at 746 N. LaSalle, Chicago, IL 60654 in the garden level

Price: $40 for entire series, or $12 per individual session

Clearing Space for Intention and  Goal Setting in Mind, Body, Spirit and Purpose

Start off your four week cleansing with intention setting, affirmations and positive energy. Explore specific goals within the areas of mind, body, spirit and purpose, using various spiritual practices to deepen your personal awareness and hone in on specific intentions to carry you through the entire series.

Presenter: Sarah Karnes

Sarah is a Life Coach who stands for and empowers Love, Joy and Aliveness. Sarah’s 20 years of training and life-learning include addressing food sensitivities,Touch for Health breath awareness, Feng Shui, creative expression and The Way of the Heart. In her approach of Spiritual Nourishment, challenges and ‘raw’ life experiences are gracefully digested into accessible Life Force that we need.

Out with the Bad, in with the Good; Cleaning up your Diet with Food as Medicine.

Move into your second week of Spiritual Spring Cleaning focusing on the physical realm of your health and diet by learning the medicinal properties of food – highlighting superfoods, fermented foods, and cleansing seasonal spring foods. Connect your daily diet to your spirituality by learning how to create a better consciousness and better connection with your food whether it is through consuming, cooking/preparing, sourcing or composting.

Presenter: Edible Alchemy

Edible Alchemy cultures a vibrant food community from the ground up. They believe that nutritious and local food is essential to healthy individuals and healthy communities. Through close ties with local farmers, ecologically-minded partners, and urban initiatives, Edible Alchemy sustains local food production to the community of Chicago.

Polishing Up Your Connection to Spirit

Finding balance requires a spiritual element in our practice, and one method of finding inner peace can be through a calming meditation session. In this third workshop, learn how to connect with Spirit to maintain a healthy and happy mind and body.

Presenter: Gina Alicea

Gina is a Spiritual Counselor at Bodhi Spiritual Center, the United Centers for Spiritual Living and is an Art Teacher at University of Chicago, Lab School. She also is an artist in the Hyde Park neighborhood in Chicago.
